First WebVR® installed in Russia by Line1

St. Petersburg, Russia. January 2008.
Line1, a leading telecommunication firm, based in St. Petersburg, has chosen WebVR® as its platform for provision of security camera services to its customers. WebVR® will enable Line1 to offer its corporate and home customers a unique, service based, security camera service, for a low monthly cost.

The service will be hosted at Line1, and customers will be able to access their cameras and recordings from anywhere in the world via an Internet browser or a web-enabled mobile device. The initial system supports 1,000 cameras, but WebVR’s™ scalable architecture will allow Line1 to grow the system as more customers sign up for the service.

Installation of the system was conducted by Olencom, VideoCells’ partner in the CIS. Olencom’s President, Mr. Evgeni Olentuch mentioned that he sees a great potential for WebVR® in the CIS, and that the market for such services is growing all the time.
