VideoCells Announces Agreement with British aQovia

VideoCells, a leading global provider of WebVR^® (Web Video Recorder), hosted video security solutions, announced today, April 5th, 2008, that it has signed an agreement with aQovia, a major solution provider of digital technologies and software solutions to the UK Market.

WebVR is a patented platform designed to intelligently manage, store and distribute video content over IP networks. WebVR was developed in three years by a team of experts in the fields of video, communication and storage. The platform uses advanced Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster) technology and is installed on IBM servers (both IBM and Oracle are technology partners with VideoCells). Its capabilities include; mass storage, retrieval of video from various sources and transcoding and distribution (streaming) to multiple device types. VideoCells' platform will allow aQovia and its customers, to offer UK retail chains, SMEs and residential customers, a value-priced solution for hosted security cameras, with or without surveillance services.
